PATENTS AND R&D IN COVID-19 TIME

Mar 26, 2021 | Post

The constant search for technological improvements has always characterized the spirit of innovation within the Wegh Group.

It is thanks to this mindset that the R&D technical department has developed, registered and patented a synchronized system for the unscrewing of pre-compression tie-rods in four-cavity formworks.

A combination of mechanics and automation that allows the gradual release of the pre-compression forces, on concrete crossbeams, through a simultaneous relaxation of all tie-rods on both heads of the formwork.

The solution, applied to carousel plants for the production of railway sleepers, brings countless advantages in terms of optimization of the production process and reflects Wegh’s desire to always be at the forefront in the search for innovations that have a tangible impact on the product, in terms of quality assurance, and on the production process, in terms of targeted efficiency.
