WHAT PROBLEMS DO THEY SOLVE?
SAFETY
- Grant the efficiency of point locking
- Detect and ensure the condition of closed and locked point
- Detect any discontinuity in the maneuver kinematic chain
- Grant Neutral Closed Circuit in any condition and phase
- Detect obstacles between point and rail (METRA)
- Grant the minimum opening of point at switch heel (METRA)
RELIABILITY & AVAILABILITY
- Ensure the speed of recovery of the line after a trailing
- Avoid wear and fretting phenomena of the point attachment devices
- Stop the maneuver if there is an obstacle between point and rail
- Grant the reliability of electric position control
- Ensure functioning at the extremes of range -25 °C ÷ +70 °C
- Grant integrity and functioning despite the vibrations in line
- Avoid the formation of water, ice and debris inside the groups

- Ensure easy tamping of the ballast during line maintenance
