Thanks to the native scalability that characterises WEGH Group’s Carousel plants, Eastern Europe’s largest producer of concrete sleepers and concrete products, a long-standing customer of WEGH Group, was able to increase the output of its Carousel plant from a capacity of 100 sleepers per hour to 150 sleepers per hour.
The upgrade was optimised by synchronising the automation of the previous plant with a turnkey philosophy, both mechanically and electrically, increasing the production capacity by adding an additional set of machines dedicated to tensioning and unscrewing tie rods and a system for automatic insertion of prestressing steel into the mould/box. The advantage of modular and scalable machines is one of the added values of WEGH Group production plants, which offers its customers the possibility of planning medium-term investments and being flexible according to market requirements.
