After years of research, development and continuous improvement, WEGH Group is proud to announce that it has obtained certification, in accordance with CEI-EN 50126 – 50129, for a safety integrity level of SIL4, of its innovative turnout handling system: METRA.
METRA is an electro-hydraulic 2-point manoeuvring system for the movement and control of simple railway turnouts with a radius of up to 500 m, track gauge 1435 mm, 60E1 track gauge.
The first manoeuvring point is in a metal sleeper (MET), the second is installed on a reinforced concrete sleeper (ACTUATOR).
The characteristics of this product, such as safety, reliability, availability and maintainability, emerge from the main reference railway specifications as well as from the comparison with our customers and the indications of the maintenance personnel working on the switches in operation, confirming that WEGH Group offers innovative solutions perfected over time.
