WEGH Group took part in the 2025 UEEIV Forum, held from November 6th to 8th at the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa in Naples, a symbolic venue representing the historical evolution of railway transportation in Italy.
The event was jointly organized by UEEIV and CIFI – The Italian Railway Engineers Association, and gathered the Top key European players in the railway sector, with a particular focus on ballastless (slab track) solutions.
During the event, WEGH presented its ARIANNA® ballastless track system, a modern slab track solution developed entirely by WEGH, designed to ensure long-term durability, high geometric accuracy, and reduced maintenance requirements throughout the infrastructure’s life cycle. WEGH has extensive experience in slab track solutions and was the first company in Europe to introduce a bi-directionally prestressed slab track system.
The presentation was focused on the Storstrøm Bridge case study in Denmark, where the ARIANNA® system was implemented to support the construction of the new railway crossing, ensuring reliable performance in a structurally and environmentally demanding context.
Participation in the forum also offered a valuable opportunity for networking and exchange with leading stakeholders across the European market. The discussions on development, innovation, and the future of slab track technologies reinforce WEGH’s continued commitment to advancing the sector through robust and evolving solutions.
We believe in the value of shared knowledge and collaboration between industry, institutions, and railway operators.
Innovation in the rail infrastructure sector grows through cooperation, dialogue, and continuous improvement — and WEGH is committed to being part of this path.
