WEGH Group designs and manufactures complete plants for the production of all the prefabricated elements that make up the ballastless railway, metro and tram system, such as, for example, the pre-stressed reinforced concrete platforms used in the Ariadne system, which allows a significant reduction in maintenance costs compared to the traditional solution of sleepers with ballast, limited to the ordinary cleaning of the surfaces and to the revision of the rails and of the connection organs, reduced and certain laying and realization times, less encumbrances and weight of the work, an important element especially in case of tunnels or viaducts, the walkability in safety and the transitability of rubber-tyred vehicles on the line in case of rescue.
HYBRID PLANT FOR SLAB
Plants for the production of ballastless pre-stressed concrete plates have been part of the WEGH Group’s portfolio since the early 1980s. We were the first manufacturer of plants for concrete sleepers in Europe to develop a production system according to EU regulations.
