WEGH presenta Arianna® a un evento internazionale sull’innovazione ferroviaria nei Balcani

Rete Ferroviaria Italiana has awarded WEGH Group, in partnership with ICEP s.p.a, a contract for the production of approximately 920 series of prestressed concrete turnout bearers that will be used in replacement works and the installation of switches throughout the network. The series of sleepers are naturally different, depending on the tangent of the turnout and therefore on its overall length, according to the standards established by RFI. The duration of the contract is four years, from 2020 to 2023 inclusive, and is worth around 15.5 million euros. The job order will be carried out in the Calcinate production unit in the province of Bergamo, which produces, in addition tournout bearers, also standard and special crossbars, and prestressed concrete platforms for tramway and underground railway lines. For the production WEGH Group uses a new plant, studied, designed and built by the Plant Division, with advanced features and in line with the parameters of Industry 4.0. Wegh Group, with more than 70 plants installed worldwide, has the process and product know-how (sleepers, special sleepers, turnouts bearers and prestresse concrete slabs) with which it confirms itself as one of the leading and most reliable producers in the sector.
