The designed tramway station is built as ring-terminal station, to be run counter-clock wise, which extend the existing tramway line along via Palizzi where Certosa stop is; precisely, the ring track is branching from the existing track towards Roserio by means of a turnout and it crosses the city center track by a crossover, going towards via Fattori direction.
The ringed track is parallel to via Fattori, along the east side (right hand respect to the running direction), with a grassy finishing as an extension of the green park which lay on that side of the square. With the inception of the tramway track, via Fattori maintains his actual width of the lane, while walkway and side stops have been deleted.
The straight track along via Fattori ends with a left-handed turnout, which serves for doubling the track of the terminal. Both tracks after the turnout proceed in curved track along with the RFI station of Milano Certosa and its vast roof which incorporate all station buildings and tracks.
